Post subject:  Rotation direction problem with rotary encoders

I have a problem with rotary encoders. When i turn rotary encoder clockwise, volume level should increase, right? My volume decreases when turning knob clockwise. Same problem, when searching radio stations with re. Turning clockwise-->frequency goes down, not up as it should be. I double-checked wiring twice and it was ok. I made a wiring using schematic pic below.

Did you try to update the gpio_description? I think if you change the code for that file it should fix that issue.

I think I am stuck along the same lines as you. Did you have to install a car controller to get the rotary encoder to work? My system doesn't look like it responds to actions from my rotary encoder. Just wondering how did you get your system to work.

Did u made an install using this guide?: http://engineeringdiy.freeforums.org/carpc-step-by-step-guide-for-raspbian-jessie-t728.html

I got rotary encoders work right when i changed places of dt and clk wires. Dt wire to clk pin and clk wire to dt pin 8-)
