I have an old Lilliput vga touchscreen model 619GL. I can connect it by analog video out from my RPI3 and the image is clear and fine, but usb touch don´t work. LSUSB command don´t give me any data of the plugged screen, is like it wasn´t plugged. But this touchscreen works fine with windows pc, so the touchscreen isn´t the problem.

The questions are: It´s necessary install the right driver to lsusb command show the touchscreen vendor? Maybe I need a powered USB HUB because RPI3 USB power isn´t enought for this?

And finally... if I can´t get it working, what 7" tpuchscreen is better to buy? I mean, is there any model "plug and go"? I saw the Eleduino 7", but I am not sure if it is the right choose.

I have no idea about the touchscreen options in the market right now, so I am lost.... your help will be really apreciated.

Thanks

If you attached usb cable and it is not recognized on lsusb output then you should try to find related discussion about getting this model to work with linux (Debian, Raspbian ,etc) . Egalax boards usually works natively .

THANKS for the answer.

I don´t know if my Llliput 619GL is mounting an EGalax board, because is after plug it in no line is added or referenced to the device. It seems like if I didn´t plug it. It is supposed to lsusb command will show any line for plugged USB devices, even there is no correct driver installed?

If there is no driver nothing gonna be shown on lsusb output . Try to plug this on other machine running Linux (like Ubuntu) if it is recognized then there is a chance to bring it to life with RPi . Generally things about hardware are related to kernel . Also check :

Code:
dmesg

There is a lot of info about hardware

Unless the screen is HID compliant, you will probably have a lot of headaches. What type of driver is windows showing for the touchscreen?

Finally I get it working, it seems is a low problem issue (I am using it as carputer screen).

Now is detected as egalaxy touchscreen, and it works.

But axis are inverted, and I can´t calibrate with xinput. Tried to edit usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf as I read, but I haven't this file in my system...

Now I found the file and fix the inverted axis... I did the calibration too, but it seems not to be effect after I reboot .

I am in raspbian Pixel and I add the calibration data to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-calibration.conf

I added
Code:
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "calibration"
MatchProduct "eGalax Inc. "
Option "Calibration" "121 1917 317 1741"
Option "SwapAxes" "1"
EndSection

Inverse axis problem is solved, but calibration don´t
