Hello everyone

I have been thinking about an idea I've had and so I've decided to come here and share with you. Hopefully to put it in pratice.

Instead of using the navigator "Navit : Planet Extractor" we could use TomTom navigator in order to use their updated maps. By clicking the navigator button it would open the TomTom software as it were a normal GPS navigator.

I'm a newbie at this but I would like to buy raspberry PI 3 device and insert it in my car with this project CarPC.

What do you think about this? Any ideas?

Thanks
xBrunex

If you can get TomTom navigation software to work on Linux than that is it.

But if you cant, there is another alternative:
7ways

Okay

After a deep research and having spoken to TomTom GPS experts I have reached the conclusion that so far doesn't exist the TomTom software for LINUX.
The only way to make come true my idea would be through the Android TomTom application.
I already know that this project is in LINUX system but is there any way to click the Navigation button and open the TomTom application through the Android system ?

I'm not sure your understading my point here, it would be kinda like having two systems in one.

Do you have any idea how we can turn this around?
Thanks
xBrunex

Well... You can run android on raspberry and on top of android you run KODI as an application.
