OK I have everything all setup GPS,odb, radio, hifiberry. The only thing is that I can't get the sound to pass through hifiberry sound card. Is there anyway to fix it so the sound goes through the hifiberry?

There is no audio output through the pins of the SI4703 board. Therefore it is impossible to get the radio sound to play through the Hifiberry. You have to use the analog 3,5mm output jack on the board for audio output.

Correct, I had to run the analog audio output from the SI4703 to a DPDT Relay setup so when you open the radio plugin, the GPIO pin turns on the relay to swtich from Hifiberry audio to the Si4703 audio, when you exit switches back to HifiBerry audio.

Im not overly sold on the Si4703 anyway, analog radio is pretty eh. Pandora internet radio is much better :P

I have seen people using DAB USB radio adaptors in germany with this kinda of setup (which is great for Australia where I am as we have DAB+)

Thanks for posting this! It sounds very interesting! Can you explain that a bit further? Wiring of the relay? And how do you 'turn on' the GPIO? By script?
