I also got the auto bind on startup working. Quite simple..

Do everything as described above but instead of manual connecting edit etc/bluetooth/rfcomm.conf

Code:
rfcomm0 {
bind yes;
device 00:00:00:00:00:00; #you can get this from blueman-manager or "hcitool scan"
channel 1;
comment "OBD II bluethoot interface for carPC";
}

Hi,

I did work a little bit further on this addon.

Please find attached the udpate file:

Image

Canges:
Code:
- Proper initialization
- Cleaned up code up to 90%
- Fixed "Now Playing" displaying, "play next"-button & added "play previous"-button
- Fixed "Exit"-button
- Updated layout

At the moment only following data fields are available:
Code:
Calculated engine load value
Engine coolant temperature
Intake manifold absolute pressure
Engine RPM
Vehicle speed
Intake air temperature
MAF air flow rate
Throttle position

I don't know why but my car (AUDI A3 8P) returns for all other interesting fields just "NO DATA".
I will check more detailed after I updated the odb_io.py to the newest version (or at least understand the changes).

Before I have fixed the "NO DATA" issue for fields that I am interested in I will not work on the customization & data logging.

Hope you like it and would appreciate if you can give feedback if it works with your devices/cars.

Greetings,

ahab

great thanks for that plugin.

works brilliant on my side. only need to change settings to use rfcomm1 because rfcomm0 is already in use

btw. due to the good coding structur, settings can also be changed in kodi (baud, device)

Glad to hear that it also works on other setups :-)

Still trying to figure out why I do get for many PID's "No Data" .... should not be the case.
I will keep you updated.

I've just installed this addon and want to setup one of the home buttons to link straight to it. Can anyone help?

Haven't spent too much time on this but I did try to get a usb adapter working with no success. It just hangs on the opening screen of the program trying to connect or something similar. Changed the lines in the config to the appropriate /dev/ttyUSBx bits. Minicom works fine connecting to the serial port but I suspect the ODB program is sending some bluetooth related bits over that link that doesn't jive well with the USB adapter. I'll poke around at it some more this weekend and see if I can figure it out.

Ahab,

I am going to be putting this into an 2003 Audi S6, what ODB scanner are you using?

I also LOVE your background image, is it available anywhere?
