Hello, so i have installed the raspbian image on to the sd card. Question how do i have to unzip copy and paste to home/pi? can i load the image on to rpi 2 and copy carpc file over to home/pi from a usb. i see the files when on rpi but i cannot see the files when sd is inserted on my mac since I'm not running linux. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance :? :?

On a Mac you can use a FTP-client like Cyberduck. Open a new SFTP/SSH connection, enter the IP of the RPi, your username and password. As soon as the connection is established, you can copy files to the RPi via drag and drop.

@Navster since you have installed raspbian then insert it in sdcard slot in your mac (except if IOS is not cappable to see ext4 or other partitions used in linux) then it is read as usuall . Usually it is just a question of copy anything you want to home folder .

@Elias Alves

No, OS X (iOS is for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch only) can neither read nor write to Ext volumes. But as mentioned above this can be done on the Mac with a SFTP-Client. And last but not least, thanks to the fact that OS X is a Unix-System, you can SSH to the Pi with the Terminal and use Unix commands (for example mv or cp) to do this tasks.
