Hi,

Today i have installed the complete set up in a Pi 2 B with Official 7 inch screen.
Everything went on fine, but just one issue.

When i click the navigation icon, it loads the introduction video and finally i am getting a console that says below:

Raspbian GNU/Linux * raspberrypi tty3
raspberrpi login:

It prompt me for password.

The bottom right corner i can see the back button which takes me to the home screen.
Basically navit is not seen.

I already have the map.bin file copied to the /hom/pi/.navit directory

Am i missing something?

I have done this at least 5 times and get the same result.

Can anyone throw some light on this?

Thanks in advane

It's a problem with permissions. Do the following:
Code:
sudo adduser pi tty

Add this:
Code:
sudo /bin/chmod 777 /dev/tty2

to '/etc/rc.local' before 'exit 0'.

Restart your Pi and try it again.

Thanks a lot. I actually had updated in another thread. the issue went off when i chaed the setting as login to desktop. But what you suggested might be the correct fix. Thanks again.
